Alexis Bruchon was born in the middle of the Auvergne volcanoes where he began to draw his inspiration. He studied Art History in Clermont-Ferrand and graphic design at L'École de Condé in Lyon, but his passion for drawing won out and led him to become an illustrator. Since then, he has worked mainly in Great Britain, for magazines such as House & Garden, of which he is a regular contributor, he illustrates children's books and designs posters.
He works with simple tools, Indian ink and watercolor with always the same goal: to tell a story through an image.
Alexis is also passionate about cinema and has directed two feature films, La Femme aux Chaussures Leopard and Les Yeux Dessous.
